    What is address bar history?

    Address bar, also known as the "Location bar", is a text box used to enter a web site address in a browser. Web browsers allow users to click the down arrow to view the recently visited pages. So, the address bar history shows some of the web sites you've recently visited and anyone who has access to your computer and starts to type in the address bar will get a drop down url list with the web sites you've visited.
    Using ClearAllHistory you can delete Address bar history (location bar history) in Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape and Opera. Deleting address bar history is included in "Clear browser history" feature.

    How can I delete address bar history in Internet Explorer?

    Internet Explorer users can view the address bar history by clicking the down arrow on the far right side of the text box. To help keep the pages you have recently visited or searched for, you can delete address bar history.
    To delete address bar in Internet Explorer 7.0:
    • Select "Tools"
    • Select "Internet Options".
    • Open the "General" tab.
    • In "Browsing history" area click the "Delete" button.
    • To clear Address bar history, click "Delete history" and then click Yes.
    • Click Close and then click OK.

    How can I restore my missing Address Bar in Internet Explorer?

    The Address bar may be missing in Internet Explorer 6.x if the Toolbar settings are set to remove the Address bar, or if there is a problem with a registry key.
    To restore the missing address bar, you can change the Toolbar settings or delete the WebBrowser registry key.

    To change the Toolbar settings:
    • Start Internet Explorer, click View and then point to Toolbars.
    • If there is not a check mark next to Address Bar, click Address Bar to place the check mark. If there is a check mark next to Address Bar, click Address Bar to remove the check mark, and then click Address Bar to place the check mark.
    • If the Address bar is in the upper right corner and not available, right-click Address, and then click Lock the Toolbar to remove the check mark.
    • ClickAddress, and then drag the Address bar where you want it.

    If it doesn't work, you can delete the WebBrowser registry key.

    To delete the WebBrowser registry key:
    • Click Start Select 'Run' from the 'Start' menu.
    • In the Run dialogue box type 'regedit' and click 'OK'.
    • Locate the following registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
    • Right-click the WebBrowser key, click Delete, and then click Yes.
    • Open Internet Explorer and then select View -> Toolbars. The toolbar default settings are restored.
